INVITATION TO WRITE AN ARTICLE
SPECIAL ISSUE
"LAW IN THE AGE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES" 2026
To:..................................................................
Currently, the rapid development of artificial intelligence, big data, digital platforms, automation and algorithm-based decision-making systems not only contributes to the formation of new markets but also poses a requirement for a review of many fundamental legal issues. These issues range from accountability, transparency, fairness, privacy, consumer protection, and labor rights to the limits of public and private power in the digital environment. As technological systems are increasingly applied in areas that directly affect social life such as credit, insurance, health and welfare, it is especially necessary to build a reliable, transparent, and people-centered legal framework.
In Vietnam, the Party and the State have issued many guidelines and policies to promote the development of science, technology and innovation. In particular, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation has identified this as one of the important driving forces for socio-economic development in the new period. Along with that, Vietnam's legal system is also making significant changes through the promulgation of new legal documents such as the Law on Digital Technology Industry 2025, the Law on Artificial Intelligence 2025 and the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation 2025. These changes show the increasingly close relationship between technology and law, and pose many theoretical and practical issues that need to be studied, analyzed and perfected.
On that basis, the special issue "Law in the Age of Digital Technologies" was developed to gather and publish studies analyzing and clarifying the impacts of new technologies on the legal system, as well as the requirements for completing the legal framework in the context of digital transformation. The special issue aims to provide providing in-depth research, comparative analyses and policy recommendations, thereby contributing to the development of legal science in the field of technology.
The special issue is published in the form of a special issue of the "VNUHCM Journal of Economics, Business and Law". The editorial board of the Special Issue includes Dr. Dao Gia Phuc (Managing Director, Institute of International and Comparative Law) and PGS.TS. Nguyen Ngoc Dien (Advisor, Institute of International and Comparative Law).
